Here are a few frequently asked questions. If however I’ve not covered everything, please get in touch with any queries!

Which make up brands do you use?
I use a selection of professional make-up brands suitable for different skin types. My foundations from Nars, Laura Mercier and MAC are chosen for their longevity and flawless coverage. All other products for face, eyes and lips are a range of Nars, Laura Mercier and Charlotte Tilbury.

I have sensitive skin, is it suitable for me?
The products I use are water based, so it is unlikely that you would react to them. If however you do have any known allergies then please let me know before your trial so we can discuss alternative products for you.

Do I need a trial?
It is definitely advisable to organise a trial so we can try out hair and make-up styles for the day, as you may have a few different ideas in mind. It’s also an opportunity for us to get to know each other and work out how much time will be needed on the morning of the wedding.

How soon before my wedding do I need a trial?
Trials usually take place 6-8 weeks before the wedding. You’ll have had final fittings for your dress and will be confident about the style that you’re after. Your hair will also be representative of the length on your wedding day. I’m very happy to arrange a trial earlier than this date however, and second trials can be arranged closer to the date if required.

Are you mobile?
Yes, I am fully mobile and happy to travel to you for both the trial and the wedding day whether this be at your home, or venue.

Can I arrange trials for other members of the wedding party?
I can do as many separate trials as you want. Trials are not compulsory for bridesmaids but I do ask that you send over some pictures of your bridesmaids and examples of styles that you would like for them, so that I can fully prepare timings for the day.

How long do trials take?
Please allow a good 2-3 hours for hair and makeup trials, however there is no time constraint – I won’t leave until I’m confident that you’re happy with your hair and make-up.

What do I need to do to prepare for the trial and wedding day?
For the trial please have clean (although not freshly washed), dry hair and if possible have any hair accessories and veil that you are planning to wear. If you have an idea of what you would like then it may be useful to save pictures from social media/website pages to help me to plan out a few styles for you before the trial. For the wedding day please make sure that you wear a dressing gown, zip or buttoned up top so that you do not disturb your hair when changing into your dress.

Do I need to pay a deposit?
I will need to take a non refundable deposit of 20% to secure your wedding date. This will be redeemable off the total wedding day cost, however the trial will be payable separately. Unfortunately I cannot hold the wedding date until the day of the trial without having received a deposit payment. If you wish to book then please contact me and I will send you your quote along with a contract which will need to be completed and posted or emailed back to me along with the deposit. On receipt of this I will hold your wedding date for you.

Can I use my own make up?
I am happy to apply any makeup products of your own. I want you to feel at your best and so would be glad to use any products that you feel most comfortable in.

Are you insured?
Yes I am fully insured.

What happens if I need to cancel my booking?
Deposit payments are non refundable and will be retained even if the wedding date is cancelled. Cancellations within 8 months of your wedding date will also be charged in full. I ask that any cancellations are made via telephone AND email where possible to save any confusion. Payment of a deposit and sending a signed contract means that you accept these terms.

What method of payment do you take?
A bank transfer or cash is required 21 days prior to the wedding day.
